Whether you're leaving school soon or have recently left, Cardiff and Vale College has lots to offer young people.
We offer the widest choice of courses across Cardiff and the Vale, including A Levels and a huge range of career-focused courses. This means you can progress to university or straight into a career. Courses are run at different levels so you can develop in a subject, whatever qualifications you have.
Pick your A Levels
At our Cardiff sites we offer a varied timetable to suit you. This includes over 30 AS Levels in lots of subjects such as Accounting, Chemistry, Maths, English Language, Welsh, Photography, Government & Politics, Film Studies, Law, Religious Studies and World Development.
Complete your A Levels
You may already have AS qualifications but wish to extend them to the full A Level qualification. At Cardiff and Vale College we will also accept transferring students with exisiting AS levels on to our A2 courses subject to meeting our minimum entry requirements.
Choose a career focussed course
Study a vocational course at one of Cardiff and Vale College specialist training facilities and qualify to start a career in Aircraft Engineering, Art/Media, Beauty Therapy, Business, Care, Construction, Engineering, Hairdressing, Hospitality, IT, Sport, Travel or one of our other popular subjects. Have you thought about an Apprenticeship?
Earn while you learn on a Apprenticeship with Cardiff and Vale College. You start a job and develop skills each week with ‘on-the-job’ training. Your employer then lets you come to College for usually between 1-3 days per week or on block release to gain your required qualifications for that job.
Apprenticeships are part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

Boost your GCSE grades
Do you need better GCSE grades? At the College you can study a mix of GCSEs to boost your grades. You may also be able to study a GCSE alongside A Levels or career focused courses if there is a particular GCSE you want to improve, such as Maths or English. Boost your UCAS points with the Welsh Baccalaureate
The Welsh Baccalaureate (WBQ) is an exciting qualification for students in Wales which adds a valuable new dimension to subjects and courses. It offers a whole new approach to learning and is especially designed for the young people of Wales in the 21st Century.
