CILEx Co-ordinator Max Weedon said:
“These results reflect the hard work and ability of students and tutors, but also of course the developments in the course over the last five years. The key factors are expert dedicated tutors and the resources we offer students. All CILEx lessons and exams now take place in excellent professional training rooms. A library is available in the day and evenings which includes the latest textbooks and materials for CILEx courses.”
“These results add to the existing proof that the best route to success is a well-structured course delivered by expert tutors with excellent resources.”
The College’s new City Centre Campus with its key location has made courses accessible to large numbers of CILEx students travelling from outside Cardiff. Its proximity to Cardiff Central Station has enabled more and more students to come to the College from Swansea, Bristol, Bath and Weston Super-Mare.
Rashna Vaswani studied CILEx at Cardiff and Vale College whilst working for DAC Beachcroft in Bristol.
"Studying a part time course whilst working full time is in itself a challenge, however doing a course one hour train ride away from your home is even tougher," Rashna said. "The latter ceases to matter when your centre delivers and exceeds your expectations. I am very grateful for the consistent support received from all the lecturers at the college and encourage other students to enrol because they will not be disappointed. Special thanks to Max, Kirsty and Darren, your hard work did not go unnoticed."
Cardiff and Vale College CILEx distance learning students also celebrated excellent results, including 100% pass rates across 14 CILEx level 3 and level 6 units.
