Cardiff and Vale College secures approval for Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers

Cardiff and Vale College has secured a place on the Skills Funding Agency Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP), which places the College in a strong position to meet the needs of employers who work across Wales and England, helping to manage and provide solutions in response to the Apprenticeship Levy which will be introduced from 1st May 2017.

The register will give employers a level of assurance that their provider has the capacity and capability to deliver outstanding quality apprenticeship training.

As the largest apprenticeship provider in Wales, Cardiff and Vale College is committed to providing a superior level of apprenticeship training across Wales and, through our dedicated faculty – Element Skills Training, we have extended our commitment to support businesses across England.

Our employer led approach has made a significant impact in the English market: CAVC is currently delivering over 900 apprenticeships in the region to large employers across the Construction, Logistics, Engineering and Facilities Management Industries, as well as being the national preferred provider for Unite the Union.

With the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy, Cardiff and Vale College are now in a unique position, as a main provider, to lead, deliver and support all apprenticeship training requirements for businesses who work across both England and Wales, ensuring businesses maximise return on their levy bill.

CAVC Vice Principal for Commercial Business Development, Mary Kent said: “Cardiff and Vale College have always been committed to providing the very best standards of apprenticeship provision which is reflected in our recent Beacon Award Promotion and Delivery of Apprenticeships, securing RoATP approval places the College as one of the prime contractors in Wales who can offer this unique service to employers.

"It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to be able to bridge the gap between England and Wales as we continue to encourage businesses to unlock the potential of apprenticeships”
