Cardiff and Vale College student Ryan represents Wales in rugby

Cardiff and Vale College Sport student Ryan Shall has been selected to represent his country in the Wales Deaf Rugby team.

The 23-year-old HND in Sport Coaching student from Dinas Powys played in the team that beat the English Deaf Rugby team recently and is looking forward to another match against England on 12th March at the Cardiff Arms Park.

“It’s great to part of the moment, playing against England,” Ryan said. “We’ve got a match against the Royal Marines coming up which should be another tough game.”

Ryan aims to become either a strength and conditioning coach or a PE teacher after he completes his HND course. “This course is really helping me with my career goals,” he said. “It’s the best course I’ve ever been on and the lecturers are phenomenal – really helpful to me.”
