CAVC Creative students support Tools With A Mission event at the Paget Rooms

Creative students from Cardiff and Vale College will provide the entertainment at a special fundraising event for Tools With A Mission on 24th March at the Paget Rooms in Penarth.

The gala event will raise money for Tools With A Mission, a charity that takes unwanted tools, refurbishes them and distributes them among developing nations. The fundraiser is being organised by Penarth Deputy Town Mayor Tracey Alexander, Tools With A Mission being her official civic charity.

Former CAVC student Luke Andrews will perform solo at the beginning of the evening, before being joined by current students The Foundation. John Lewis and the Angela Morris Parry Ensemble will also perform.

Amanda Coombes, a Foundation Degree in Photography learner, will operate a photo booth for all guests to have fun photos that they can buy to raise further funds for Tools With A Mission.

Penarth Deputy Town Mayor Tracey Alexander said: “I am thrilled to be working with Cardiff and Vale College to raise money for Tools With A Mission. The students are so talented and helpful - their commitment to supporting us is commendable.”

Cardiff and Vale College Employment and Progression Officer Alyson Llewellyn, who helped organise the students’ support, said: “I am extremely proud of our students for being so keen to take part in this worthwhile cause. Not only will they be raising funds for a charity that does so much good work around the world, they will also gain invaluable experience that will help them prepare for the world of work.”
