Next year's CAVC students get a taste of their £45m new City Centre Campus
More than 300 of the students who will come to Cardiff and Vale College in September have been given a sneak Discovery Day preview of the College’s £45m new campus in the heart of the city centre.
The students, who will study A Levels, Hair, Beauty & Complementary Therapies or Creative courses in the 2014-15 academic year, were invited along with their friends and families for a tour of CAVC’s new City Centre Campus. They were shown around the 16,000m2 campus’ state of the art facilities which include top of the range spa, gym, restaurant with views across the city, theatre and performing arts centre and a specialist Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) centre.
Tutors and members of the College’s Customer and Student Services teams were also on hand to offer advice on individual courses and the support that the College can offer.
Gabby Swift will come to CAVC in September to study A Levels in English Language, History and Social Psychology. She said: “It’s been really good to able to see the new College campus. It’s an overwhelming building – it’s really cool and it’s really big. I am very much looking forward to coming here in September.”
