Writing competition finalist Lucy's story goes to public vote
Former Cardiff and Vale College student Lucy Cunningham has made it to the finals of a national writing competition, and now it is down to a public vote.
Lucy has beaten off competition from across the UK to make it to the top ten finalists of the annual Munch Time children’s story writing competition and could win the £1,000 prize.
All entrants had to write a story for two to five-year-old children starting with the words “one upon a time there was a cow called Munch…” Her story “Munch Shows Talent”, in which the cow discovers her own unique talent, can be read and voted for online.
Lucy came to the College’s Colcot Road site in Barry and successfully completed an Access to Higher Education course, and as part of it took the Creative Writing Module. She also attends a WEA writing group. To read Lucy’s story visit www.munchtime.co.uk – voting will continue until midnight April 1. Voters must be 18 or over.
