Families Learning Together

The Families Learning Together Project at CAVC aims to engage a large number of families and foster positive attitudes towards education.

Families Learning Together delivers courses and workshops for parents and carers to support their child’s learning.

The courses are activity based and will provide you with the tools and knowledge to help you to support your child with their learning whilst developing your own skills.

Each course runs for 10 weeks (approximately 3 hours each week)

This term we are offering online courses in the following areas:

  • Nursery and Reception (ages 3 – 5)
  • Year 1 and Year 2 (ages 5 – 7)
  • KS2 Year 3 and 4 (ages 7 -9)
  • KS3 Year 7, 8 ,9 (ages 11 – 14)

The course will be tailored to your family's needs. You will be able to access the course in lots of ways: you can do it online in a weekly live session, or you may wish to watch a recording of the session in your own time, you can access the course by email or Teams. Each week you will be asked to complete an activity/game with your child and to chat with the tutor. Support will be given every step of the way.

All courses are free to all families and are accredited with an Agored Cymru unit.
