A2 Business Studies follows on from AS and covers, in two units:

Unit 3 builds on the theory introduced in Units 1 and 2. As the title suggests, the emphasis in this unit is on understanding and using analytical techniques and developing appropriate business strategies.

Photography - AS Level 3Cardiff

This Photography - AS Level is a one-year course and should be taken alongside two or three other subjects and the Welsh Baccalaureate. It may be possible to take this course as a part-time student.

Our aim is to equip you with the ability to take great photographs and explore image-making in a variety of digital media. You will gain insight into the contextual and creative aspects of the subject, alongside the technical elements of image construction. You will learn how to use digital camera equipment and the manipulation software package Adobe Photoshop to produce portrait, landscape, still life or abstract photographic images. You will also develop skills in picture editing and image analysis.

This subject is ideally suited to those with an interest in photography, film & visual art. It is a great way to enhance a portfolio for entry into Higher Education or for those who would like a practical subject to balance other academic subjects. The subject is very enjoyable but is not an easy option. You must be able to manage your time effectively to take photographs on a regular basis, with successful students shooting consistently in their own time, throughout each project.

Note: You will need to use your own digital camera (Compact £100- DSLR £400) and will have to get final imagery enlarged at commercial printing labs throughout the course. You may incur extra expenses for educational visits, materials or printing costs.

The AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting covers a range of foundation accounting and finance skills in five mandatory units (240 guided learning hours). The purpose of this qualification is to ensure that students are well prepared to progress into a business, finance or professional accountancy career or further education.

CILEx Graduate Fast Track Diploma - Level 6 Level 4+Cardiff

This CILEx Fast Track Diploma course enables Law Graduates to become qualified lawyers as Chartered Legal Executives. 


You may then go on to become partners in law firms, qualify as Solicitors (without having to undertake a two-year training contract) and also apply for judicial appointments.
To qualify graduates must complete the Graduate Fast Track Diploma and three years of qualifying employment (work of a legal nature supervised by a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer), one year of which must be after completing the Diploma.


The Graduate Fast Track Diploma consists of one Professional Skills unit, assessed by coursework, and two areas of Legal Practice, assessed by exams.  This can be done in one year over two evenings a week, or over several years of studying one evening a week, to suit your commitments and goals.  All areas of Legal Practice are offered in a two year rotation, except Civil Litigation and the professional skills unit, which are available every year.


The academic sessions run from October to May and examinations are in June.

CILEx Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice - Level 6 Level 4+Cardiff

Course start date: 28th September 2017

The Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice is the second stage of training to become a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer and is set and assessed at honours degree level.  To achieve the Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice and progress to become a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, you must achieve one level 6 legal practice unit, three level 6 law units and both the professional skills units.  One law unit must be in an area of law which underpins the practice area taken.  Students can take any number of units over any amount of time to complete the Diploma.


Each level 6 unit can be studied individually and each also lead to nationally recognised qualifications, except from the two skills units that must both be completed to achieve a qualification. 
The academic sessions run from October to May and examinations are in June 2018.
