17th Edition Wiring Regulations Level 3Cardiff

It is desirable that all electricians gain this 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification, as this is a minimum requirement in electrical installation and maintenance work.

The aim of this course is to familiarise applicants with the 17th edition regulations and on site guide as an aid to good working practice. The main course objective is to cover the scope and requirements of the regulations.

It is intended to ensure that on completion individuals are conversant with the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (17th edition) incorporating amendment 3 2015.

Applicants will be required to pass a multiple choice online examination.  This is an open book examination allowing applicants to refer to the 17th Edition handbook.

EAL Award in Initial Verification of Electrical Installations 4337 Level 3Cardiff

This qualification is run in conjunction the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.

This course is for domestic installers and existing contractors who need to test and inspect new  and exisitng installations. It also covers verification and certification of 3 phase installations.

Electrical Installation - Apprenticeship

For this level 3 apprenticeship you will need an NICEIC or ECA approved employer currently working in electrical installations; who is willing to give you on-site training; and release you for college 1 day a week for the duration of your apprenticeship.  This Apprenticeship has an expected minimum duration of 42 months.

Your college element will last for approximately 3 years (35 weeks per year); where you will take the Knowledge Based elements of your NVQ Diploma. Towards the end of Year 2 you will be given a Portfolio by your Assessor; where you will provide written evidence to meet the requirements of the practical based elements. 

You will be mentored by your Training Coordinator throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship. Your Training Coordinator is your first contact if you have a work or college problem that you cannot resolve on your own.
