Computer Aided Design with Parametric Modelling Level 2Rhoose

This Level 2 certificate in CAD course will provide learners with the essential skills in how to use Computer Aided Design software more specifically 2D and parametric modelling software. 3D Computer Aided Design in Aerospace including BIM (Building Information Modelling) Level 3Rhoose

Providing comprehensive training on Computer Aided Design software; this Level 3 CAD course is for those who want a more advanced look at specialist 2D/3D design skills including parametric modelling, that builds on the existing knowledge gained on the Level 2 Certificate in CAD. Learners who come from a background in computing, design or may have worked in manufacturing or engineering design industry may also find this CAD qualification of particular interest.

This two-year course, equivalent to two A-Levels is ideal for school leavers who are interested in both Aerospace and Aviation Science including General Engineering.  The course will provide you with the core skills and knowledge required to work as an aircraft fitter or unlicensed engineer in the aviation industry.  The course gives you the fantastic opportunity to learn about various aircraft topics including aircraft systems, materials and hardware, hydraulics, propulsion to position you well for a successful career in aerospace.

 

The course is approximately 20 hours per week over the course of two years and has the mandatory requirements of gaining knowledge, practical hand skills in both mechanical and electrical/avionic competence as well as a minimum of 5 weeks compulsory work experience in year 2.

 

By the end of the first year, you will have achieved a nationally recognised Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma qualification.  

 

You will have some knowledge and basic skills in production or maintenance engineering already, most likely from school during technical / workshop studies or from work-experience.

Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance enables learners to develop the essential knowledge and hand-skills to become an aerospace technician or engineering.  This course is completed at our CAVC Cardiff Airport campus and is a vital part of either an advanced apprenticeship or progression into employment in the Aerospace sector.

 

The Level 3 Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance enables learners to work towards EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence Category A1 theory elements.  It is ideal for aspiring licensed aircraft maintenance engineers or unlicensed aircraft technicians with the majority of the knowledge requirement for their chosen role.

 

The course is approximately 20 hours per week and has the mandatory requirements of gaining knowledge, practical hand skills in both mechanical and electrical/avionic competence as well as a minimum of 5 weeks compulsory work experience.

 

Please note, further training and work experience in a relevant Part 145 Maintenance Repair Organisation is required for the awards of a EASA Part 66 Licence, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority
