Plumbing, Heating and Ventilation
Our well respected courses and Apprenticeship programmes train you to become a skilled and qualified Plumber or specialist Engineer working with Gas, Heating and Ventilation, Refrigeration or Air Conditioning. You will learn in our large trade-specific facilities. These include classrooms for theory and large industry standard workshops where you will develop your practical skills each week. CAVC also offers work placements to students each year, as well as the chance to take part in national skills competitions – all helping you stand out from the crowd and gain employment.
Most of those completing a course or Apprenticeships progress into employment. This includes jobs with large building services and engineering companies as well as smaller trade companies. Some also go on to start their own successful businesses.
Currently there are over 153,900 people employed in the sector across the UK. Over half of the total workforce in Wales are employed in South East Wales (EMSI, 2016).
We offer courses unique to us in the region. We are the only provider in Wales offering the City and Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. We are also the only provider in South East Wales offering the Level 3 Diplomas in Domestic Plumbing and Heating.
