This is for practitioners who assess knowledge and/or skills in vocationally related subject areas who use the following assessment methods: assessments in simulated environments, skills tests, oral and written questions, assignments, projects, case studies and RPL.
This may take place in training department/workshops, classrooms or other learning environments.
This course comprises of 35 hours of guided teaching over 7 weeks with self-study required in between. There will be 4 days of virtual classroom training and 1 day in-person to complete the observation assessment.

The course comprises of 2 units:
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
- Learners will need access to 2 learners to assess throughout aspects of a qualification.
- We require learners to bring their laptops with them to the course (with access to the Internet/WiFi) to be able to search the internet and send/receive emails etc during the teaching.
