About this course

This two-day course is intended to support managers and supervisors from any industry/business sector in understanding the strategic and operational implications environmental sustainability has on them, their team and department. It enables you to contribute to the improved environmental sustainability of their organisation and is ideal to rapidly upskill your team and those who oversee operational objectives.

This 2 day course is tutor led in an online classroom and runs 9am-4.30pm .
There is an online 20 question Multiple Choice Assessment.

This FREE course is only available to adults that are eligible for a Personal Learning Account (PLA). Personal Learning Accounts, funded by the Welsh Government, are available to employed adults living in Wales that wish to develop skills to progress or change career.

What you will study

The IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers course covers:

  • Main environmental and economic risks and opportunities
  • Compliance obligations and business drivers for change
  • Main potential impacts on environment and sustainability
  • How to improve environmental performance
  • Evaluation drivers for change and barriers
  • How to apply knowledge and understanding to baselines data to monitor and improve performance
  • How to apply knowledge of environmental sustainability across the value chain
  • How to demonstrate the importance of implementing resource efficiency
  • How to demonstrate how employees can improve environmental performance

This 2 day course is delivered by tutor led online classroom. There is no formal assessment.
