Get a university education with Cardiff and Vale College International
Cardiff and Vale College offers a range of higher education courses in partnership with Welsh universities at a variety of levels from HND right up to post graduate study with the PGCE*.
We have strong partnership links with the University of South Wales (previously University of Glamorgan and University of Wales Newport), Cardiff Metropolitan University (UWIC) and The Open University.
There are many reasons to study a higher education course with Cardiff and Vale College:
- courses taught in smaller group sizes
- access to both college and university facilities
- gain a stand-alone qualification
- teaching and expertise of the University and the College
- being able to study full-time or part-time
- having the option to continue your study to gain a full degree
For a full list of the courses available please visit the higher education pages.
Access courses allow you to further your education and gain the skills and qualifications to progress to higher level courses at university.
On an Access course all students study core subjects including English, Maths, Study Skills and IT. You can then choose the other subjects you wish to take, relating to personal interest and the course you would like to progress to at university. The course also helps you develop the skills required for university study including assignment writing, presentation skills, project and portfolio work.
Access courses are not recognised as a qualification for work, so it is best not to choose this option if you don’t intend to move on to higher education within two years.
To see our full range of Access to Higher Education courses please use the course finder on the left of this page. Select 'Access (courses for adults)' from the Subject area drop-down menu.
