About this course

This qualification is suitable for those who wish to learn the basics of the SAGE accounting package. The course is aimed at those wishing to work in an accountancy role.
This course is also ideally suited to  learners studying the PLA AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping.
Learners will gain an Agored Cymru Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Accounts.

What you will study

  • customers and suppliers details,
  • creating products,
  • entering an opening trial balance,
  • processing supplier invoices,
  • issuing cheques,
  • checking account balances,
  • processing customer invoices,
  • checking stock levels,
  • receiving payments,
  • processing credit notes,
  • printing audit trails and trial balances reports
  • changing program dates,
  • providing credit limits,
  • amending records,
  • changing records,
  • paying off accounts,
  • health and safety.

Learners will need to do the qualification on-site due to needing SAGE software.

Entry requirements

A good standard of literacy and numeracy (ideally grade C or above at GCSE). Current (or recent) practical experience.
