Vehicle Body Repair and Refinishing (Entry)

About this course

This Entry Level Automotive course is a great introduction to the automotive trade, covering the main aspects of vehicle body repair and paint at a beginner’s level.

Throughout the duration of the course, pupils will develop their skills and knowledge of the sector in dedicated workshops and classrooms, working alongside industry qualified staff and taking part in various work placements.

What you will study

This qualification consists of a combination of units from:

Health and Safety practices
Foundation Skills
Personal Social Development (PSD)
MET (Mechanical Electrical Trim)
Body
Refinishing
Valeting

Students will work on real vehicles, using equipment similar to that used in garage repair workshops.

Entry requirements

A desire to work within the Automotive Industry. Also, learners will need to provide their own steel toe-capped boots and overalls/boiler suits.
